Hello my lovelies, how are you? I’m so excited to share with you some more great ideas to keep your skin looking and feeling it’s best. Today we are going to talk about a step many of us fail to do regularly, I know I have. Exfoliation, the act of exfoliating your skin, and removing dead skin cells, build up and other impurities, can make your face feel brand new.

If you take special medications or use products recommended by your dermatologist or other health care provider, please do not change what you are instructed to do. These suggestions are just that, suggestions you can try if you can and would like to.

There are hundreds of products out there that can exfoliate your skin. Below we will talk about a few options out there and maybe one will be come your new favorite. My absolute favorite is by Dermalogica. The product is a white granule and you pour a nickel sized amount into your hand. Your skin will need to be damp to use this. Once you start to massage it onto your skin, the formula activates the papain, salicylic acid and rice actives, to accelerate cell renewal. You can use this daily, or at least a few times a week. $59 at retail beauty stores or online.

Another brand that has been mentioned in other posts is, CeraVe. Their Salicylic Acid Cleanser is great for sweeping away dead skin cells. And if you have acne prone skin, this cleanser will assist with that as well. Your skin will be hydrated and smoother. The fragrance free formula can be used on the face as well as the body, where you may experience “chicken skin”. $18 on Amazon.

If you are more concerned with the cost of your product another brand that I love is The Ordinary. Their Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution makes exfoliation easy. This product is made from the smallest type of acid molecules and makes it effective in penetrating the skin. Available online at beauty retailers, $9.

If you are looking to use a chemical exfoliator, but are too timid to jump into that beauty pool, start with Go-To Exfoliating Swipeys. These pads come pre-soaked with a blend of AHA’s and oils so it exfoliates your skin without the harsh tingles. The results will provide exfoliation, and dewy looking skin, it may simply take longer to achieve. Available at Gotoskincare.com $35.
