The Final Battle

To ensure you have all the battles for your skincare please check out the following posts:

Hello my lovelies! The final skincare battle is being fought. We have made our way through cleansing, toning, serums, eye cream and moisturizers, and sunscreen. Today we approach our final battle, Night Cream. At night you would still follow the first four battles to cleanse and prep your skin. But instead of a day time moisturizer, you would use a night one, and you don’t need sunscreen at night.

So what is the difference between moisturizer you wear in the day and one you wear at night? The main difference is that a day cream usually has an SPF and is a lighter formula than a night cream. Night creams are generally thicker, and have ingredients that work their magic while you sleep, away from the sun’s rays.

So there are a number of night creams out there. Which one should you use? Well that really depends on what your skin needs and what your budget allows. Below you will find a few options for different skin types.

For Dry Skin: Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight Moisturizer

This product has an abundance of skin-softening ingredients, and hyaluronic acid, glycerin and squalane to hydrate your skin. It has a smooth texture, it is gentle and has a subtle scent. It also can help firm your skin. $87 at philosophy.com

For Aging Skin: Exuviance Age Reverse Night Lift

This brand offers a gel-like formula, minimizes the look of lines and with its active ingredients gives faces a “lift”. You will see improvement in your skin in as little as four weeks, not only in the minimization of lines, but in overall firmness. $79 at dermstore.com

For Normal Skin: Caudalie Resveratrol (Lift) Night Infusion Cream

When using this cream, you will experience some serious results. It’s formulated with moisturizing grape-seed oil, and free-radical fighting antioxidants that boost cell repair, and stimulate collagen. $76 caudalie.com

The Product with the Best Value: L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Volume Filler Night Cream

L’Oreal has provided a lightweight night cream with hyaluronic acid, to help with hydrating your skin. It helps smooth your skin and make it feel plump and healthy. Best value priced at $29.99 from Amazon.

Best Overall Product: Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Cream

Olay has created a light weight cream, that has anti-aging ingredients, making your skin look brighter, softer, and more lifted. Olay is a product that I’m super familiar with and it’s wonderful how well it works. $28.99 olay.com

There you have it, my lovelies. The battle has been won, you are the victor over your own skin care. Of course if you have other products you use, to exfoliate, treat acne or other concerns please continue to use those as instructed by your doctor. These are simply suggestions on how to create your skin care routine, and what is wonderful is you can always change things.

Be strong, be beautiful, be you
