Don’t let the title fool you! This isn’t a scary horror movie. It has a few intense moments for younger viewers, but overall it’s a good family movie. This would be described as a musical, but it has comedy, horror, romance, and science fiction all wrapped up in one amazing movie.

Released in 1986 (There is another version released in 1960, similar story line, but has Jack Nicholson in it.) Directed by Frank Oz, and starring some big names:
- Rick Moranis as Seymour
- Ellen Greene as Audrey
- Steve Martin as Orin Scrivello, DDS
- Vincent Gardenia as Mushnik
The movie revolves around a flower shop on Skid Row. Seymour is in love with his co-worker Audrey, but she’s in a relationship with Dr. Scrivello. However it’s a very unhappy relationship, and Audrey also seems to have feelings for Seymour.

One night Seymour finds an unusual plant. A Venus Flytrap, that bonds with Seymour. Mr. Mushnik, the owner of the shop, uses the unusual plant to draw more business. But when the plant, named Audrey II, doesn’t thrive, Seymour unexpectedly finds a way to keep the plant growing, drawing more business for his employer.
No spoilers, but extreme decisions are made. During the movie you will find yourself rooting for Seymour and Audrey, and the nuclear family life they envision.
Sit back, enjoy some candy, grab a soda, and enjoy a good family movie that will keep you all entertained. And remember, Feed Me Seymour!
