Originally released in 1975, this movie is rated R, but I feel that it’s more PG-13, but maybe some violence in the movie requires it to be a higher rating. Regardless this is not a ‘Horror’ movie. It’s a cult classic that has catchy music and a very enthusiastic cult following as well.
It’s just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right….
This is one the movies that I watch and find myself singing along with. It is a musical, and it stars some amazing stars:
- Tim Curry – Dr. Frank N Furter
- Susan Sarandon – Janet Weiss
- Barry Bostwick – Brad Majors
- Meatloaf – Eddie
- Richard O’Brien – Riff Raff
- Patricia Quinn – Magenta
- Nell Campbell – Columbia
Bring your knees in tight.
The story begins with Brad and Janet, a newly engaged couple traveling to visit a former teacher, Dr. Scott. During their drive, their tire blows and they make their way to the only house they passed. The next several hours they meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter, and are entertained, fed, seduced, and witnessed the birth of the creation known as Rocky.
It’s the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane….
The final stage performance is one of my favorites, and it is a fun movie to watch with friends who are also Rocky Horror enthusiasts, and don’t be afraid to dress up, use props, and sing along!
Let’s do the time warp again!
