Now you might be thinking this isn’t a Halloween movie, and you would be right. However it is a great movie, that has it’s moments of thrilling suspense, and the fact that a young boy can see dead people, fits right into the theme of this October and the movies I’m showcasing.
The Sixth Sense is directed by M. Night Shyamalan (A very nice and friendly person, I have actually spoken with him.) He has also directed other movies that have all carried a twist to them. This movie is no exception, and don’t worry if you haven’t seen it, I won’t give you SPOILERS.
The Sixth Sense stars some talented actors:
- Bruce Willis – Malcolm Crowe
- Haley Joel Osment – Cole Sear
- Toni Collette – Lynn Sear
- Donnie Wahlberg – Vincent Gray
- Mischa Barton – Kyra Collins
The movie takes place in Philadelphia, where child psychologist Malcolm Crowe, helps an emotionally distant and socially outcast child, Cole Sear. As Cole builds up trust with Malcolm, he takes it upon himself to help others who may not be able to continue on until a final act has been performed. I know, I’m being cryptic, but you will understand when you watch the movie.
This one, even rated PG-13, may be too much for younger viewers, so it’s a good one to watch with the older kids or adults. Grab some pizza rolls, and candy corn, and get ready to watch a great movie that even after seeing it a few times is worthy of a few nail biting moments.
