Movie – House of Wax

In 2005, a movie was released that shared a name and a premise of a wax house from a movie in 1953. That is honestly all that is connected, the story lines are completely different.

Now this movie I originally watched in the theaters. I’m not a huge horror movie watcher, but this one was worth watching. A twist towards the end explains the movie that honestly I didn’t see coming, so it was a great a-ha! moment.

House of Wax follows a group of teenagers on their way to a football game, but camp outside of a town named Ambrose. The largest draw to Ambrose, is the House of Wax. But soon the picturesque town becomes less welcoming and more threatening. The tow truck driver, Bo, appears helpful, but soon things begin to go bad.

The House of Wax has some amazingly realistic statues, and the entire town is deserted. Or is it?
