After the great success of the first Ghostbusters, Hollywood came out with a second movie five years later. The same actors reprise their roles, but the story line is completely different.
We first meet Dana Barrett, who is living in a different apartment, has a young child, and is working now in a museum. She is attempting to get back into the orchestra, but is supporting her son with her job at the art museum.
When the baby carriage takes off on it’s own and stops in the middle of the New York street, she knows something odd is happening again. Her first action is to contact Dr. Egon Spengler who had helped her five years before. Due to a bad relationship, Dana didn’t want Peter to be involved.
The movie takes place between Christmas and New Years, and it involves a river of slime running underneath the streets of New York. The curator of the art museum becomes possessed by a creepy portrait, and attempts to sacrifice Dana’s son, to the entity in the portrait. Will the Ghostbusters be able to prevent the end of the world, rescue the baby and be the heros to the girl?
