The Vacation movies are classics (Except for the Vegas one) and are movies are I will watch year-round. So, it made perfect sense in 1989, to make the Christmas Vacation, starring the family man Clark W. Griswold, and his family. It is the first movie in the 12 movies of Christmas series.
When Clark decides he wants to have an old-fashioned family Christmas, he pulls out all the stops, finding the perfect tree, inviting the extended family, including the unexpected Cousin Eddie and part of his brood. He decorates the house that could help direct air traffic, and of course it all comes down to that magical night, Christmas Eve. Will the Griswold’s make it to December 24?
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation stars:
- Chevy Chase – Clark
- Beverly D’Angelo – Ellen
- Juliette Lewis – Audrey
- Johnny Galecki – Rusty
- John Randolph – Clark Sr.
- Diane Ladd – Nora
- E. G. Marshall – Art
- Doris Roberts – Francis
- Randy Quaid – Cousin Eddie
- Miriam Flynn – Catherine
This is a movie the whole family can enjoy, it is rated PG-13, and young viewers may not enjoy it as much.
Happy Holidays!
I actually enjoyed the Vegas one
