Wisconsin, not just cheese lovers and Packers supporters. We have many other layers, and one of those layers (probably towards the bottom) is plenty of murders. I found this case when doing a search and unfortunately I do not have much information to share with you, but here is what I have found out.

October 4, 2020; an abandoned farm in the town of Wheaton, WI, housed a purple suitcase. At first the heavily decomposed remains were unidentified, but eventually they would use DNA to identify the victim as 25 year old Rosaly Cindy Chavarria Rodriguez.
Rosaly, or as she preferred to be called, Cindy, worked in the Wisconsin Dells at the Wilderness Lodge and then at the Sprechers Restaurant and Pub. The last time she was seen alive was on July 4, 2020. Her ex-husband reported her missing on July 21, 2020.
Cindy had been born in Peru but was living in Reedsburg, WI, while she worked in the resort town. Officers had learned the remains were located at the farmhouse during a drug investigation, when an informant told them about it. However police were still unsure where she was killed, or by whom.

Fast forward to December 17, 2021 – a few short weeks ago, Jose E. Dominguez-Garcia was charged in the murder of Rosaly Cindy Chavarria Rodriguez. He was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, and hiding a corpse. Cindy was 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant when she died.
The only problem is, is that Jose is not in the county, state, or possibly even the country. Jose had been interviewed by police on July 23, 2020. He had informed police at that time, that he knew she was pregnant but that they had broken up because she had cheated on him and the baby had not been his.

On August 26, 2020, the police located Jose’s car, a red 2003 Volkswagen Jetta. There was a red gelatin substance and there were dead flies and maggots in the car. The detective on the case reported that based on his training and experience with death investigations, that these fluids indicated the beginning of a decaying body that had been in the truck of the vehicle. This same car was located on surveillance footage on July 23, near where Cindy’s body was later found.
At this time, Jose has not been arrested nor has he been located for extradition back to Wisconsin. Hopefully Cindy’s family is able to find some peace and closure when the charges being brought against Jose.
