Perfume

PSA: Perfume should not replace proper bathing. Don’t use it to cover up body odor.

You can’t open a magazine these days without seeing an advertisement for a perfume, body spray, or new scent. We are inundated with perfume samples, some floral, some powdery, some citrus, some are musky, all of them can be overwhelming.

How do you know which perfume would be the best one for you? First of all, if a high schooler is wearing it, probably decline that one. That means Axe Body Spray and anything designer imposter are both out. The best option to find a new fragrance is to go to a store with a perfume counter speak to the person who works it and find a few options that may work for you. Let them know if you have any allergies or sensitivities.

There are many brands and I’m sure you have heard of a lot of them, I’m not going to go over them all, I’m going to mention a few that I personally wear and LOVE, and maybe if they are your scent profile you will enjoy them too.

  • Jimmy Choo Fever – This is a scent I use in winter as it is a “heavier scent” and better for winter instead of a lighter fragrance for summer. Fever has contrasts of floral and gourmand. It is perfect for a sensual night out and allows the wearer to leave a tantalizing trail in their wake.
  • Jimmy Choo L’Eau – Opposite Fever I wear L’Eau in the spring/summer as it is a lighter fragrance perfect for summer nights. It has a blend of floral and fruity and it’s a soft delicate blend partnered with a hint of woody depth. It’s a seductive sweetness with a slowing sensuality.
  • Coach Dreams – This one is my daily go to, I love it!! It has a scent of bitter orange with hints of gardenia, cactus flower and Joshua Tree. It’s wonderful for working or for a seductive night out in the arms of your significant other.

All three of these perfumes can be found at finer department stores or even online. Take a sniff and see if they meet your needs, otherwise keep searching, the perfect scent is out there!

Be strong, be beautiful, be you
